Abstract
As determined by 79Br-NQR the second order transition for [(CH3)4N]2ZnBr4 occurs between the space groups Pnma and P21/n11 in a very broad temperature range. The enthalpy change as found from differential scanning calorimetry is in agreement with an order-disorder transition based on the mobility of tetramethyl-ammonium ions.
