Dependence of the Solution on the Initial Condition in φ⁴ Model

Abstract

The method of orbital separation is applied to the classical φ⁴ model; φ_tt−φ_xx+m²φ+λφ³=0 to investigate the behavior of the solution. Our numerical results indicate that the solution of non-integrable φ⁴ model with a positive λ is insensitive to the initial conditions even at high energy.
