A new type of the additional boundary condition(ABC) based on a picture of the surface scattering of exciton is proposed and applied to the oblique incidence reflectance in the case of s- and p-polarized lights. The calculated reflectance is compared with the experiment on CuCl. The spikes appeared in the reflectance spectra of the p-polarized light for the intermediate range of the angle of incidence are well reproduced by the present ABC, but by neither Pekar’s ABC, the dielectric approximation, nor the dead layer model.
