Abstract
Low temperature magnetization of amorphous ferromagnetic alloys of Fe78B13Si9 has been measured in the temperature range of 4.2–310 K. The present investigation has focused on a discussion of a possible evaluation of a quantitative atomic percentage of Fe-atom in a stable α-Fe phase which nucleates and grows in a progressive annealing stage. This new attempt will be performed on the basis of magnetic properties in connection with an X-ray analysis. A mean magnetic moment of Fe atom can be deduced from the amount of the magnetization, and the analysis has been carried out with special emphasis on the spin-wave excitations. Electron diffraction and the X-ray study can identify materials precipitated by the annealing, however, it is quite difficult to give accurately quantitative amount of these materials in the crystallization process. Our new attempt leads to a fruitful discussion.
