Abstract
We have measured the transverse magnetoresistance and de Haas-van Alphen (dHvA) effect in the antiferromagnetic Kondo substance CeIn3. The magnetoresistance increases in all field directions, suggesting that this compound is a compensated metal. We have detected one dHvA branch which corresponds to the electron Fermi surface in the sixth band of LaIn3, centered at the Γ point. The dHvA frequencies (cyclotron masses) at the ⟨100⟩ and ⟨111⟩ directions are 3.20×107 Oe (2.02m0) and 2.95×107 Oe (2.88m0), respectively.
