Abstract
The Gamma-ray dose and dose-rate effects in the sprout inhibition were studied on “May Queen” variety of potatos.The potatos were irradiated with 10000 Ci of rod type 60Co-source (14 cm×30 cm) in the dose-range from 3×102 R/h to 5× 105 R/hchanging the dose from 0.5 kR to 12 kR.
The experiments were performed with the same procedures reported previously. The obtained results of necessary doses for sprout inhibition and their dose-rate dependence were in good agreement with those of “Danshaku” variety.
