Abstract

In this study, a pressure dissolution and stirring mixer was used to generate water emulsified fuel from a waste food oil, namely straight vegetable oil (SVO). Soot and dust in the exhaust gas were then removed using a UFB water scrubber. A water emulsified fuel was selected as it generates less soot and dust in the exhaust gas. The soot and dust were further reduced using a UFB water scrubber. Moreover, nonanal, octanoic acid, and fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) were detected in the exhaust gas emitted due to the combustion of biofuels.
