In dialysis wastewater treatment by PUF (polyurethane foam) fluidized-bed, treatment charact-eristics has been investigated experimentally, focusing on simultaneous removal of the organic and nitrogen substrates.
In consequence, it was shown that the organic and ammonia nitrogen substrate concentrations in the effluent decrease down to sufficiently lower steady value, showing respective specific time dependent variations with three peaks. PUF Fluidized-bed process was found to practically effective when applied to dialysis wastewater to remove organic and nitrogen substrates at the same time.
