Abstract
"Systems biology" is one of the most attractive research field in biology in recent years, which aims to understand as biological mechanisms not only elements of the biological phenomena but also dynamic network among the elements. Systems biological approach is much interesting for radiation biology and radiation protection, so that the international workshop have been held fourth times. The 5th workshop will be held in Tokyo next Spring. In this workshop, some speakers, who are studying radiation biology, epidemiology, mathematical modeling and risk evaluation, will present the reviews and views for the relationship between their background and systems radiation biological approach. After the talks, we will discuss the current status and issues of the systems radiation biology and future direction of the Systems Radiation Biology.
