Applications of Magnetostrictive Materials and the Symposium on Electromagnetics and Dynamics

Abstract

Actuators and sensors using the magnetostriction phenomenon have been studied and put into practical use many heretofore. This paper describes the basis of the magnetostrictive phenomenon, showed the magnetomechanical coupling factor. Then, this paper shows a number of researches that applies magnetostrictive material presented in the Symposium on Electromagnetics and Dynamics, describes the trend of the content of the recent presentations.
