The demand for artificial hearts is increasing as a bridge to heart transplantation. Current artificial hearts have problems such as infection caused by the driveline and reduced quality of life. Transcutaneous energy transmission systems have been proposed to solve these problems, but they have problems such as insufficient transmission efficiency and misalignment. This paper describes the parameter changes of an "α-coil," which is a coil with two or more spiral coils stacked on top of each other. The transmission efficiency was improved by 13.0 % without changing the size of the coil system compared to the conventional spiral coil when used on the secondary side, and the reduction in efficiency due to misalignment was also confirmed.
