Abstract

To investigate the relationship between spontaneous activity and mental health, the locomotor activity of small laboratory animals is measured. Implantable locomotion meters are used to identify individuals in group housing. The internal primary battery drives the locomotion meter, making it difficult to measure for long time, and the weight causes stress to the animal. A wireless power transmission system is a solution to these problems. As the animal moves erratically, the angle of the locomotion meter changes, and the supply voltage varies. In this study, we measured the change in voltage when the angle of the receiving coil was changed, and we propose and fabricate a transmission coil considering angle change between transmission and reception coils.
