Abstract
From the energy security and CO2 discharge reduction point of view, much attention has been paid to the usage of bio-fuel. Yet, the major subject in applying highly concentrated ethanol in SI engines is to sustain stable cold startability and emission. This is due to the characteristics of ethanol, large latent heat required to vaporize. In this Paper, evaporation of highly concentrated ethanol at HC cold temperature, which is a determining factor of exhaust emission, are analyzed quantitatively.
