Abstract
The authors have completed measurement of instantaneous temperature on all the combustion chamber wall surfaces (i.e. the piston, the cylinder head, the cylinder liner, the intake and exhaust valves), and evaluated instantaneous heat flux from the combustion gas to each part of the combustion chamber by heat transfer analysis of the measured temperature. In this paper, distributions of the surface temperature and the heat flux on respective combustion chamber wall surfaces are presented.
