Abstract
In this research, BDF is made light quality by mixed with low boiling point fuel that is lower than BDF. This method has the effect that physical characteristic of BDF is improved. Purpose of this study is to evaluate soot formation and exhaust characteristic of the mixing fuels. The soot formation characteristic of the mixing fuels are investigated by Laser Induced Incandescence(LII) using a constant volume combustion vessel. The exhaust characteristic of the mixing fuels are measured with a stationary engine. The result of the engine experiment shows that smoke decrease without NOx increase by mixing BDF with low boiling point fuel.
