Abstract
In this research, by using a driving simulator, we aim to develop an advanced driver assistance system which evaluates the lane change behavior and assists novice drivers to improve their skills in difficult lane change maneuvers. This development is based on a reference model of lane change maneuver extracted from the collected data of experienced drivers and the analytical results of the data collected from the driving simulator and the continuous sensing drive recorder. This paper describes experiment results indicating the validity of the proposed driver assistance system.
