Abstract
In this paper, we quantitatively verified the effect of a merging assistance system that passes information on approaching cars to the driver using 3D-sound-images.In the experiment with a driving simulator, the scene with a difficult merging action is reproduced, and the judgment of the confluence position by subjects was observed. Moreover, the effect of the system in the merging action was verified by Risk Feeling (RF). As a result of the experiment, in the case of using 3D-sound-image, though subjects almost didn't notice the existence of the 3D-sound-image, subjects came to do the behavior as the RF value became small.
