Abstract
For efficiency improvement of automatic transmissions, very small cage and roller bearing for planetary gears, with 1.5mm diameter rollers and a 7mm diameter planetary shaft, was developed using high-strength M-shaped welded cage. As a result of needle roller shape optimization and adoption of nitrocarburized high-strength chrome molybdenum steel cage, upper speed limit reached to 1.5 times of that of conventional products.
