Considerations of Tire Characteristics on Ice at Temperatures around 0°c

Abstract

We are performing the study on characteristics of tire on icy roads with the indoor tire tester. This report describes a study on friction mechanism of tire on ice, by comparing the test results on ice at temperatures around 0°c with a simulated ones based on friction models of tire on ice and μ-S characteristic model of tire.
