Abstract

It is estimated that the amounts of N2O and CH4 having the large greenhouse effect and C6H6 having the carcinogenicity respectively in vehicle exhausts will increase in the causes of the reduced catalyst temperature and others in real-world drive. Then, in order to investigate its fact, we have analyzed the N2O, CH4 and C6H6 in the exhaust of hybrid electric vehicle, and so on by the new development on-board FT-IR gas analyzer. With those test results, actual conditions of the N2O, CH4 and C6H6 emitted from the vehicles and phenomena enlarging these emissions were investigated and analyzed.
