Prediction of Friction in Timing Chain Using Multi-body Dynamics Simulation

Abstract

A simulation to predict friction loss in timing chain was established. To predict action and friction of every chain link, the link by link model was used for the imulation. Using this simulation, the detailed distribution of friction in chain system and the behavior of chain friction in time domain were predicted, and the study to reduce friction loss of chain became to be able to perform.
