Abstract

A method was developed to estimate the wasted energy of tire by using a scalar product of force vector and velocity vector in slip region of each tire obtained by brush tire model. The method was applied to driving simulator test to quantitate the recuperative energy of G-Vectoring controlled vehicle, which accelerates or decelerates in coordination with vehicle lateral motion. It is confirmed that the wasted energy of tire was reduced dramatically by G-Vectoring control from the cornering test result of driving simulator.
