Abstract
The cranking noise reduction which was an important problem of idling stop mechanism loading vehicles was investigated, and the following were clarified. Cranking noise was mainly the radiation sound caused by membrane vibration of a drive plate. Interception of exciting force and cutting off of vibration area of a drive plate were proposed as the cranking noise reduction method in a transfer system, and the effectiveness was confirmed by calculation and experiment.
