Abstract
Particle formation and oxidation processes in diesel combustion are investigated in the point of view of instantaneous and spatial characteristics by using a CFD code which accounts for finite-rate elementary chemical reactions coupled with the phenomenological multiple steps soot model. Particle formation and oxidation processes derived from CFD simulation is compared with observation result with laser techniques firstly, then, influences on the process in different fuel injection conditions are analyzed.
