Abstract
To improve ride comfort at smooth road, rising part of hysteresis on suspension wheel stroke curve has to be designed to avoid an increase of dynamic stiffness at very low amplitude due to friction. Rubber bush is one of components that cause hysteresis. However, there is no appropriate method to investigate the influence on dynamic performance of suspension system by designing specification. This paper proposes a rubber bush model that is used for suspension dynamics design in early phase of vehicle development by investigating dynamic specification of rubber bush without detailed design.
