Abstract
We have developed a new tire surface-profile inspection system that has the following two features: Firstly, the “Tire KANAGATA (die) Model” can be used to adjust the variation of data statistically. Secondly, the interactive interface for human inspectors with the inspection system is introduced for the efficient and flexible construction of the “Tire KANAGATA (die) Model” for newly designed tires. Using these features, the usability of the auto-inspection system is improved, with no oversight, minimum over-detection, and efficiency for teaching set-up.
