Abstract
Two-Stage method and MUSIC (Multiple Signal Classification) were developed for evaluating the vehicle suitability of FM devices. Nevertheless, lengthy measurement of multipath distortion rate (MDr) had been an issue because the maximum value (τMax) of delay time (τ) cannot be determined. This study has enabled to define the characteristics of MDr regarding modulation frequency of FM broadcast wave (fm) and τ, and also determine τMax which is necessary in Two-Stage method in advance. Specifically, it was defined by measuring the characteristics ofMDrabout fmand τ after creating environmental characteristic models of radio waves for Two-Stage method.
