Development of Steering Feel Simulation Model Focusing on Friction Characteristics

Abstract

In order to archive new objective target of steering feel, model based steering feel design process is developed. The simulation model consists of full vehicle model and steering model which can describe actual friction characteristics of steering system. The target objective steering feel has been realized by applying newly defined V-shape development process to vehicle mass production development.
