Abstract
This paper describes a motor noise design for the newly-developed electric powertrain with mechatronical integration structure. The powertrain aiming for light-weight to extend a driving range of EV by mechatronical integration structure which integrates strong electric parts with motor has a disadvantage for motor noise due to the increase of the surface area. The design method for electromagnetic force using vibration-acoustic transfer function has been developed to reduce the force. The method helped to take a balance of motor noise and light-weight by bringing a significant reduction of electromagnetic force of the motor.
