Abstract

The addition of ozone gives the improvement of the combustion stability to a part of HCCI combustion conditions. We manufactured an intake in-line type ozonizer for a gasoline engine, and evaluated the effect to HCCI transient combustion by a single cylinder engine. In this presentation, we report the features of the developed ozonizer and the results of the HCCI combustion experiment.
