Development of Hydrogen Refueling Method for Fuel Cell Motorcycle

Abstract

A new Hydrogen fueling protocol named the MC Formula Moto Fill was developed for a fuel cell motorcycle. A pressure estimation before a Preshot, a refueling time count starting before Preshot, a pressure ramp rate fallback control for Preshot and other technics were developed and installed. This method basically has a compatibility with current Hydrogen stations for a fuel cell vehicle. So FC motorcycles don’t need an exclusive dispenser or station. This allows an expansion of FC motorcycle market without an additional investment for Hydrogen stations.
