Abstract
Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA) is an effective tool for the analysis of noise and vibration problems on tires. This paper discusses the applicability of Analytical SEA, which uses coupling loss factors (CLF) evaluated theoretically. At first, the CLFs of three kinds of tire are experimentally evaluated and it is shown that the frequency characteristics are classified into three frequency ranges. Next the analytically estimated CLFs are compared with the experimental results for establishing the analytical formulation in Analytical SEA. It is concluded that the Analytical SEA modelling in low frequency ranges below about 200Hz can be established.
