Abstract
A semi-active suspension has been widely adopted to enhance vehicle performance. In order to improve occupant ride comfort and tire road holding using a semi-active suspension system, a variety of suspension control methods have also been proposed for a long time. In this paper, we configured the triple skyhook control, which features reducing sprung vibration over a wide frequency range with a simple control law, for a test vehicle equipped with a semi-active suspension system to enhance ride comfort. We confirmed that the control showed high performance to the sprung vibration suppression over a wide frequency range and its results were verified on a test vehicle.
