Abstract
Aluminum is needed as power busbar for electric vehicle in place of Copper, which has price hike risk and weight problem. However, Aluminum surface generates insulative oxides easily, so that Aluminum power busbar needs surface plating. This reports Nickel coating development for Aluminum busbar that solved both cost and electrical performance issues. This technique would be applied for power battery of mass-produced electric vehicle.
