Abstract
WLTP permits to test 2WD vehicles with a 4WD chassis dynamometer. Therefore, in this study, the control methods of 4WD chassis dynamometer were evaluated in the non-powered wheel speed following control mode (2WD operation) and the front and rear wheel speed synchronization control mode (4WD operation). We examined the impact of the difference in the 4WD chassis dynamometer control methods on fuel consumption and exhaust gas emission, using a diesel vehicle and a hybrid vehicle on the 4WD chassis dynamometer. For the exhaust gas emission and fuel consumption, a good correlation was confirmed even with the different control methods of 4WD chassis dynamometer.
