Abstract

In this study, a nonlinear discrete model for rebreathing HCCI engines was developed, and engine control was performed based on the model. The constructed controller controlled the indicated mean effective pressure and maximum pressure rise rate by the fuel injection quantity and intake valve timing. Using both a LPV model and the nonlinear model in the controller made it possible to reduce the computational load and improve the transient performance.
