Abstract
An industrial reciprocating engine was added the developed on-board reforming system, because ammonia has poor combustibility. Usual operating range of the engine system was kept by co-firing hydrogen reformed partially from ammonia. The developed engine system was modified to be mounted on a towing tractor and a power generator as demonstration machines. The evaluation results indicate that the engine can be used equivalently as existing internal combustion engines using fossil fuels.
