Abstract
TM Tire Model (Tread Mechanics Tire Model) presented in the previous research improved the approximation accuracy of the cornering stiffness by devising the model of the tread part. This model tends to provide high approximation accuracy, especially for tires with low profile and wide (High-Performance Tire). Therefore, we considered the mechanism that increases the approximation accuracy, and investigated and verified the effect of tire tread specifications on cornering s stiffness. As a result, we were able to clarify part of the mechanism from the viewpoint of shape of contact patch and deformation against load.
