Exterior Structural Method to Achieve both Reduction of Road Traffic Noise and Enrichment of Sensory Sound for Rider

Abstract

For motorcycle users, sound such as engine sound is essential one of the attractive issues, and there is a tendency to demand a certain volume. However, an increase in the generated sound volume is undesired social issue, because it increases environmental load at the same time. As a solution to this contradictory matter, we introduce a method that has realized both road traffic noise reduction and enriched sound presentation to rider. This method is by vehicle exterior structure.
