Abstract
In a spark ignition engine,the setting of ignition timing is an important factor for thermal efficiency and engine power.In this study,a prediction model for the knock limit ignition timing was developed by combining the 0-dimensional calculation inside the engine cylinder and the statistical model.It was confirmed that the model showed good agreement when the in-cylinder state related to combustion was changed such as􀀃 intake air amount,intake valve timing or external EGR rate with wide range.
