In all regions of vehicle motion where forward and lateral acceleration occur simultaneously, several mechanisms that front/rear driving force distribution affects cornering characteristics are analyzed. By considering the tire SAT characteristics in combined slip and the differential friction, it has been clear that the effects of driving force distribution can be divided into five regions in the GG diagram. It has been shown that larger driving force distribution to the front wheels leads to weak understeer in some regions.
