Abstract
We have shown that the shape of parking vehicles and scenes can be estimated with high accuracy using a high-resolution millimeter-wave radar for automated parking and parking assistance in our previous studies. In this paper, we propose a method for estimating the shape of parking vehicles from only range and Doppler information, using a low-cost millimeter-wave radar without multiple antennas by applying deep learning techniques. It is shown that it can be estimated with high accuracy in real-world parking scenes.
