Abstract
Electric vehicles are increasingly using larger-capacity batteries, and battery temperature management is an issue. For this reason, water cooling systems with high cooling efficiency are adopted. This report describes the results of evaluating the corrosion resistance of various surface-treated steel sheets to the cooling water used in water cooling. The cooling water resistance of each plated steel sheet was evaluated, and aluminized steel showed the best cooling water resistance. It was also found that aluminized steel have a smaller corrosion current density and larger impedance due to immersion in LLC. From this, we found that aluminized steel is applicable to cooling channels.
