Abstract
In Issue No. 71 of this magazine, an introduction was given to a technical book on carpentry entitled “Munenobu Kuroda Denrai Monjo” (owned by the Takenaka Carpenter's Tools “Munenobu Kuroda,” was left unknown, but further reading revealed that Munenobu Kuroda was Jinshichi Kuroda, a master carpenter of the Kaga domain. It is pointed out that Kuroda Jinshichi came to Edo to rebuild the Hongo residence of the Kaga domain, which had been destroyed by fire, and from the spring of Jokyo 1(1684) to the summer of the following year, he copied the original manuscripts one after another and brought them back to Kaga.
