Abstract
A seed tuber planter and fertilizer distributor produced the new device, which simultaneously performs ridging, fertilizing, planting, mulching. Fertilization accuracy was 92-94% in block A and 71-104% in block B using a standard fertilizer application rate. The fertilizer sample placement was 58% in the ridge center area and 61% in the ridge top area. The amounts of nitrate in ridges were equivalent in blocks A and B. However, it had decreased in row spacing. The product yield and product rate, component ratio of the classified standard of blocks A and B were the same as those of the conventional device. This multiple-function device used for block B is effective for improving Chinese yam production systems.
