Abstract

This experiment was carried out to develop the axial-flow thresher, and to find out the basic data and possibilities of developing the new combine suitable for small Asian farms.
Three prototype equipments; a cylindrical type and two conical types (20 and 40 degree of cone apical angle, respectively) were constructed and tested under various machine and crop conditions. In this paper, some design parameters of prototypes were evaluated and discussed.
