Abstract

In order to distribute the granular pesticides and fertilizers uniformly, we made a distributing pipe for an experiment. The relationship between the Air velocity of distributing pipe and the number of the particles ditributed from the distributing holes, and its distribution uniformity were investigated.
It was found that distribution of particles (3.48mm in diam) through 16 distributing holes on the rectangular pipe (70mm×15mm) was fairly uniform (cv=18.9%).
When the air velocity of distributing pipe was adequately adjusted (7--7m/sec) with an aid of the secondary air flow from the 16 air insert holes on the opposite side to the distributing holes, the number of the particles distributed from the holes and its distribution condition were able to be approximated by Normal Distribution N (0, 12).
