Abstract

A Simulation model was developed to study on operation in various static milking parlors.
The performance of the parlor was simulated under various conditions. And the prediction equation was established in order to estimate easily performance of static milking parlors.
The results are as follows:
1) Average milking time in the herd and number of stalls are most important factor in determining the performance of the static milking parlor.
2) The limit unit number in herringbone parlor by one-man operation is 3-double.
3) If it is possible to reduce the preparation work time, the performance of the parlor will be improved. And it is evident when the milker unit is full set.
4) The presence of feeding does not give any influence to the performance of the parlor.
