Abstract

An equation was presented to the problem of the transient pressure distribution of fixed bed during evacuation process for designing and operating of vacuum cooling grain storage silo.
The non-linear diffusion equation with the coefficient of pressure itself was solved numerically by the finite element method.
The calculate results were in fair agreement with the experiment.
