Abstract

A modified gaseous components system for CA-storage using a gas separation membrane was designed, constructed and tested. The membrane has permeability of CO2, O2 and N2 in order. The distinctive feature of this system is the introduction of a gas circuit selecting concept with a set of membrane module to get a desired modified gaseous components. It was effective in decreasing CO2 content and increasing O2 content, but operation of N2 introduction to the chamber was left as future study. The method of controlling gaseous components in the chamber was shown.
